Over the past year we have supported several amazing organizations through the work of our MM Gives Back Committee. This month, we are highlighting two charities that we’ve recently raised funds for through in-house events and campaigns.
Our goal each year is to give back to global and local organizations that touch our hearts through fundraisers and raising awareness throughout the year. This past November we hosted our first Great Managing Matters Bake-Off, where team members brought in $5 to sample the sweets. All proceeds went to our global initiative Little Footprints Big Steps, a non-profit organization that works to protect vulnerable children in Haiti. What a sweet day that was!
This past December we hosted a Sip and Swap where the team brought in their gently used clothing and traded treasures. Clothing donations were also brought in for our local community organization, Fred Victor Centre, located in the same neighbourhood as our Richmond Street East office. The Fred Victor Centre is a social service charitable organization that fosters long-lasting and positive change in the lives of homeless and low-income people living across Toronto.
Managing Matters supports these meaningful organizations throughout the year by having additional in-house events and internal competitions that raise money and also donates staff time for fundraising.
